I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

The Acid Rain experiment
What is Acid Rain?
-Acid Rain is the Precipitation that has a ph of less than that of natural rainwater which is about 5.6 due to dissolved carbon dioxide.
Aim of the Experiment : To observe effects of Acid Rain
Experiment: Petal, calcium Carbonate, Apple,Universal indicator, Bromothymol Blue.
Method: In a petri dish place items around edge. Wet dry ingredients with drop of water. In the middle put a weigh boat. Add Spatula and Sodium sulfate to weight boot. Add 5 drops of sulfuric Acid. Quickly Close.
Hypothesis: I think it will dissolve and it will make rain
Observation: When the spatula and Sodium sulfate was add to the petri dish there was a change in colour starting with the flower turn in to light pink. The calcium Carbonate clumped together. The Apple lost its colour. Universal Indicator colour turn to red. Then the Bromothymol Blue Colour turn to orange.

Atomic Science : periodic Table
What does the periodic table table show us?
- the periodic table is known for the periodic table of elements, it is a display of the chemical elements which are the lay out by atomic number, electron configuration.Periodic table show us the periodic trends.
What is Alkali metals?
- the alkali metals consist of the chemical elements lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, caesium, and francium. Together with hydrogen they constitute group 1, which lies in the s-block of the periodic table.
Experiment
In science we did an experiment of what could happen if we put alkali metals in water. Would it explode?. . . . .
So we used cold water and alkali metals.
What happen when we put the alkali metals in the water?
- its exploded and the heavier and bigger the alkali metals will react more violently with water
