What the song was the message of the song?
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
So were doing a collage which described both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photograph, fabric, and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface.
So we ripped the paper to create our background first and then we started adding in the details. By cutting ripping or creating repeated shapes by drawing on top of our collage and paint it.
History
-International woman Days came about due to several historical events. It is the representative culmination of both the long public struggle for women's rights and the more private struggle waged every day by woman who have made the celebration of this day possible.
Over the years, International Woman's Day has taken to the streets, sparked off a revolution, met cosily at luncheons and concerts, rubbed shoulders with Premiers, Prime Minister and Mayors, demonstrated at the doors of newspaper and welfare institutions, occupied empty houses intent on gaining shelter for homeless woman and has ushered in reform legislation.
Inequality
- Inequality between men and women results in lost opportunities and prevents mutual gain. In general discrimination.
Diverts resources from women's activities, sometimes in favour less productive investment.
Rewards men, but also some woman, blinding them to productive alternatives
Obstructs social as well as economic participation and closes off possible partnership.
Reduces woman's effectiveness by failing to support then in their responsibilities, challenges and burdens.
In our Wananga we learn about The Guest house, and define what guest house is. So after we learn about the guest house you have to think about yourself what is a guest house meaning. If you imagine yourself being a guest house, you have to think what has visit your guest house. So every morning we have to think which guest has visited our guest house. Well my wananga teacher disappointed and disrespectful has visited her guest house ever since we started learning about the guest house she is always disappointed almost like every time. After we've done the guest house we have to think about 3 things that we are grateful for. Almost every student in our class are grateful because of their parent without them they wouldn't be there right now and they are grateful because they are alive and the teacher. That all I can write about my Wananga.😁😁😁🔥
When do you hear this song?
- well you usually hear this song when there is a Military funerals. It is played when there's like a soldier who died just to show that his duty as a soldier is final over and she or he can Rest In Peace
Why is this song significant/important to New Zealand?
- because the song Last Post it's call that signifies the end of the day's activities. Its also sounded at military funerals to show that the soldier has gone to his final rest and at commemorative services such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance.
What is the history behind the Last Post?- Why was it played and when?
- it was originated with the British troops stationed in the Netherlands, where it drew on an older Dutch custom, called taptoe, from which comes the term tattoo as in Military tattoo. The taptoe as well also used to alert the end of the day, but originated form a signal that beer taps had to be shut, hence that the day had ended.

Experiment
In science we did an experiment of what could happen if we put alkali metals in water. Would it explode?. . . . .
So we used cold water and alkali metals.
What happen when we put the alkali metals in the water?
- its exploded and the heavier and bigger the alkali metals will react more violently with water
White Sunday
How is white Sunday celebrated?
-In our cultural we celebrated White Sunday by learning you own kauloko and re-doing old stories about Jesus and learning a dance so that we can end our little skits
Who is celebrated with?
-with parents and the Pastor and his wife and your whole family
Why is this important to celebrate?
- The day is for parents and communities to acknowledge and celebrate childhood by hosting special programs during church services which include scriptural recitations, biblical story reenactments, and creative dance performances
Christmas
How is Christmas celebrated?
-Christmas in Samoa can begin months in advance to build up to the annual event called “13 Days to Christmas”. These 13 days are filled with choirs singing Christmas carols and dramas being performed in the village of Vaitele-Uta. Christmas day begins with church and a remembrance of the miracle of Christ's birth.
Who is celebrated with?
- After church families will open presents, eat food, and play game such as kilikiti or volleyball.
Why is Christmas important to celebrated?
- because Christmas is important to many Christians because it reminds them that Jesus, the Son of God, came to Earth for all people.

What is the main message of this song?
-way to remember what happen to Parihaka years ago.

-his children's children wearing the albatross feather, and so take me for the sins of these sad islands

-it says you can't change our culture and our original people

How does this song show the significance of Parihaka?
-because the song explain what happen to the people and how they dealt with it and between Maori and Pakeha the government decimate the settlement to prevent war. After that the Waitangi tribunal allow Maori to mover on and to accept what happen in the past.

-Remember, it includes those that resulted in great change over long periods of time for large numbers of people
